Venice is approximately halfway between Tampa and Fort Myers, with 14 miles of beaches stretching from Casey Key to Manasota Key. It is the place for shelling and looking for sharks teeth.
Close to the airport you will find Venice fishing pier which juts out into the Gulf of Mexico, with spectacular views of the shoreline both north and south.
To the north visit Tarpon Centre Drive where you can park, take in the beautiful sunsets and watch the dolphins play in the wake from the boats passing Venice Jetty. To the South visit Casperen Beach where there is no development to interrupt the miles of sandy beaches.
Further south your can drive along Manasota Key without having to return to the busy Hwy41 and it becomes Englewood beach.
